  • Web Development: Modern web applications using React, Next.js, and related technologies
  • Backend Development: Server-side applications, APIs, and cloud infrastructure
  • Consulting Services: Technical consultation and project planning
  • Support Services: Maintenance, updates, and technical support

3. Service Agreement Process

3.1 Quotes and Proposals

  • Initial quotes are estimates based on provided information
  • Final pricing is confirmed through detailed project analysis
  • All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified

3.2 Project Engagement

  • Services begin upon signed agreement and initial payment
  • Project scope is defined in separate Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Changes to scope require written approval and may affect timeline and cost

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Payment Schedule

  • Projects typically require 50% upfront payment
  • Remaining balance paid at agreed milestones or completion
  • Monthly retainer agreements for ongoing services

4.2 Payment Methods

  • Wire transfer, ACH, or approved payment processors
  • All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes
  • Late payments may incur interest charges (1.5% per month)

4.3 Refunds

  • Refunds are provided according to the specific project agreement
  • Work completed to date is non-refundable
  • Refund requests must be made in writing

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Client Ownership

  • You retain ownership of your business concepts, data, and content
  • Upon full payment, you receive ownership of custom-developed code
  • Third-party components retain their original licenses

5.2 Laboratory One Ownership

  • We retain rights to our methodologies, frameworks, and pre-existing tools
  • We may use project experience for case studies (with anonymization)
  • We reserve the right to use general knowledge gained from projects

5.3 Open Source

  • Open source components are subject to their respective licenses
  • We will identify and document open source usage
  • Client is responsible for ongoing compliance with open source licenses

6. Confidentiality

6.1 Non-Disclosure

  • We maintain strict confidentiality of your business information
  • Our team members sign confidentiality agreements
  • We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data

6.2 Exceptions

Confidentiality obligations do not apply to information that:

  • Is publicly available or becomes public through no fault of ours
  • Was known to us prior to disclosure
  • Is independently developed without use of confidential information
  • Must be disclosed by law or court order

7. Warranties and Disclaimers

7.1 Service Warranties

  • We warrant that services will be performed with professional skill
  • We will correct defects in our work at no additional charge
  • We use industry-standard security practices and technologies

  • Services are provided "as is" without additional warranties
  • We do not guarantee specific performance metrics or business outcomes
  • Third-party services and components are subject to their own terms

8. Limitation of Liability

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • This includes lost profits, data loss, or business interruption
